Notice of Annual General Meeting




The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Standard Motor Company Limited, trading as the Standard Motor Club, will take place on Sunday April 13th at 2 pm. at the British Motor Museum.


A member of the company is entitled to appoint another person as his or her proxy to exercise all or any of his or her rights to attend and to speak and vote at the meeting provided that a notice which complies with the section of the present articles headed ‘Content of Proxy Notices’ is delivered to the secretary, Lynda Homer no later than seven days prior to the meeting.


If any member wishes to appoint a proxy, then the member should send a letter or an email to the secretary, Lynda Homer. The letter or email should state the name, address and membership number of the member appointing the proxy, the same details for the member who is to act as a proxy and the letter or email should be signed by the member appointing the proxy. The member may in his proxy notice state how the proxy should vote should the member see fit to do so.

The minutes of the 2024 AGM were published in the January Standard Car Review.


The tenth AGM of the Standard Motor Company Ltd (t/a the Standard Motor Club) will be held on 13th April 2025 at 2 pm at the British Motor Museum Gaydon.


This year we have an option of a circular Road Run to start from the Museum at 11.00am, this is to be organised by club member Robert Browett. There is also an option to book a buffet lunch which will be served in our meeting room.

The following committee posts are due for election: Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Chief Engineering Officer, Registrar and ratification of Graham Hart as Member without portfolio. The existing officers will stand for re-election.


We seek nominations from a suitably qualified volunteer for the post of Editor.

There are opportunities for one or two committee members without portfolio. If you would like to help the committee to run the club but need to find out more, then please contact our Secretary, Lynda Homer, or our Chairman, Peter Lockley.


Nominations should be made on, and in accordance with the form printed in our magazine.

(A copy is given below). (Photocopies or scans are acceptable and can be emailed.) Committee members standing for re-election when they are directors are also standing for re-election to their directorships.
