Alberto D’alte, a member from Portugal, has recently bought spares from the Standard Motor Club to improve his 1946 Standard 12 Drophead Coupé. He sends these photographs of his very original car so that the Membership can admire it.
Alberto knows nothing of its history, but I am pleased to feature his beautiful-looking car anyway.
This postwar car was a development of the pre-war Flying 12 with the benefit of a wider body, different dashboard and Independent Front Suspension.
I am sure that we all admire the car including the immaculate interior.
The Webmaster seems to receive details of lots of cars owned by proud members outside the UK. Come on UK Members, show us your pride and joys.
These pages will preserve your car far into the distant future.
